The Washington Business Journal reported today that long-term mortgage rates fell to record lows AGAIN this week. For the week ending August 12, 2010, Freddie Mac reports that 30-year fixed averaged 4.44 percent, down from 4.49 percent last week. That is the lowest 30-year fixed since Freddic Mac began recording interest rates back in 1971!
